KVS Curriculum

Pre- School Curriculum

In KVS we believe that the real secret of great learning lies inside the children themselves. We encourage free play and we provide a wide range of activity areas to stimulate our children's physical, social and creative development.

Through hands-on activities children learn about various relationships, sharpen their powers of observation, begin the process of logical thinking, and develop motor skills. Most activities are based around a monthly theme: Back to school- All about me- My family- Healthy food- Clothes- Dental health- Weather and Seasons- etc.

Circle Time
This is when children start their day through meaningful experiences like storytelling, singing, and playing group games.

Literacy Skills
Children develop language skills orally through storytelling, rhymes and role playing.

Numeracy Skills
They learn sorting and counting skills, putting materials in order. They also begin to understand basic concepts by differentiating between big/little, large/small, same/different, etc.

Science
Science is based on experimenting and observing. Children start to explore materials, experiment on sand and water areas.

Art and Craft
Children experience art through the freedom of touching, feeling, pulling, twisting, tearing, pasting, bending, scraping, cutting, pounding, shaping, and many other skills.

Music
Music activities help children to build awareness of the many kinds of sounds, and help them to experience the release and freedom of body movements while singing.

Drama
During the drama lessons we encourage children to use their imagination, express different emotions, make friends, try new careers , and work in groups.

Physical Activities
KVS playground offers a large grassed field where children can release their physical energy through playing different games.
